The Book of Job
Sundays at 9:00am in Room 200
The book of Job deals with the sovereignty of God and the problem of suffering. We, like Job, don’t always understand the reasons behind our pain. In this 12-week study, Eric Ortlund helps us to see the trustworthiness of God in the midst of our trials. Through the agony and pain experienced by Job, we catch a glimpse of God’s purposes for our suffering as we look ahead to the restoration of all things in the new creation.
The Olivet Discourse: Waiting For the Blessed Hope Part 1
Sundays at 9:00am in Room 205
Modern culture paints the future very bleak. Climate change activists warn of impending destruction. Hollywood seems obsessed with dystopian messages. Theories of worldwide control by the Big Reset abound. But what does Scripture say?
This quarter we will focus on studying Jesus’ teaching as He answers His disciples’ questions concerning future events. This is Part 1 of a three part series and will lay a solid foundation for Parts 2 and 3, which will be a survey of the Book of Revelation this summer and fall. Jesus desires His disciples to be forewarned and forearmed, not fearful and anxious, concerning the future. Come and allow the Word of God to inform your peace and hope concerning the days ahead.
