Gideon’s Descent
What happens when a great spiritual victory is followed by a deep personal failure? In this message from Judges 8:1-21, we see Gideon’s descent from dependence on God to a place of pride and even of vengeance. Even when our hearts mirror Gideon’s descent, we do not despair because we have a perfect Judge in Jesus—one who brings mercy, not vengeance, and offers grace instead of condemnation. Even when we fail, Jesus remains faithful, and it is His grace that restores us and teaches us to extend that same grace to others.
