Boasting in the Cross at Christmas
For believers, Christmas isn’t just about the manger—it’s about where that manger leads: the cross. In this sermon on Galatians 6:11-18, Art shows us how Paul powerfully concludes his letter with a reminder that our only boast should be in the cross of Jesus Christ. Outward symbols, like circumcision, are empty compared to the deep, life-changing reality of becoming a new creation in Christ. While the false teachers focused on appearances and traditions, Paul emphasizes the inward transformation that comes from faith in Jesus. Paul’s final words remind us to center our lives on the finished work of Christ, letting our identity, our confidence, and our joy be found in Him alone. And Christmas is the perfect season to remember this.
