Small Groups at River Oaks

We are a group of believers who gather to fellowship, study God’s word, and pray for one another.  Our members range from being single, to being parents of preschool children, to parents of college students.  We enjoy having group social times where we can get to know one another better through food and fun. Our goal is to encourage one another along this journey by praying for each other and meeting practical needs as they arise.  We also desire to grow in our knowledge of the glorious gospel of Jesus for the purpose of resting in the finished work of Christ and serving Him out of a heart of joy. Please call regarding child care.

The Bridges/Larson small group meets on Tuesday Nights from 6:30 – 8:30pm.  To find out more about this group, please click here to contact the church office.

We seek to live in light of the Gospel, with the goal being to see lives transformed into the image of Christ and move towards spiritual maturity. This looks like several different things. We worship together in song. We pursue the study of God’s word in full submission to its authority, clarity, and applicability to our lives. We pray for each other attempting to address spiritual, emotional, and physical needs. We fellowship together desiring to press into each other’s lives and build God honoring relationships. We are made up of a diverse group of people who are single, married, and married with children. Please call regarding child care.

Our small group is designed to encourage spiritual growth through deep Bible study and to form relationships with fellow believers.  We believe both study and relationships are important so we can walk out what we learn through His word with the accountability of each other.  We meet once a week to study, pray and talk honestly about what is happening in our lives.  We are of different ages and are in different stages of life with most of us having children from the preschool to middle school ages.  Please call regarding child care.

The Evans small group meets on Wednesday Nights from 7:00 – 8:30pm.  To find out more about this group, please click here to contact the church office.

Our small group comes together with a desire to get deep in the Word and in each other’s lives.  We want to challenge each other to stop living lives that only skim the surface, but to dig deep into our souls and carve out that place where the Word of God is planted, revealing itself and taking over.  If you aren’t afraid to go deep, to laugh at yourself and cry for others,  then we are the group for you.  Please call regarding child care.

The Gilbert small group meets on Monday Nights from 7:00 – 9:00pm.  To find out more about this group, please click here to contact the church office.

We’re the group that “does things a little differently.”  We take turns going to each others homes, we eat dinner together, we take turns leading.  We are a group that strives to be diverse – specifically in age and life situation.  Our desire is that as a group we would challenge each other with what the Lord has put on each of our hearts and to really apply what we are learning and being challenged with on Sunday mornings.  A big part of who we are as a small group is serving each other and the community  by meeting physical needs. Our small group’s desire is also to actively reach out within the community to help with projects and develop relationships with those in need. Please call regarding child care.

The Newvine small group meets on Tuesday Nights from 6:30 – 9:00pm.  To find out more about this group, please click here to contact the church office.

We are a small group of “empty nesters” that have a common interest in learning how to live our lives in a way that pleases our Lord.  We desire and are working on the process of digging deeper into each other’s lives to keep ourselves accountable while encouraging each other as we live out our lives. We would love to have any one join us (you don’t have to have an empty nest) so we can expand our sphere of experiences.  Please call regarding child care.
